    The 2018 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show® will be held May 19-22 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

    • Saturday, May 19 - Monday, May 21: 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Tuesday, May 22: 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  2. Show Policy & Age Requirementsback to top

    Age Requirement

    No one under 16 years of age, including infants and toddlers, will be permitted on the Show floor at any time regardless of affiliation or circumstances. Children 16 to 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. NRA reserves the right to request proof of age. No children, no infants, no strollers, no backpack carriers are allowed. No exceptions. This rule applies to exhibitors and attendees.

    Included in your booth:

    • 8 ft. high back draping plus 3 ft. high side divider drapes (except Islands, peninsulas receive 8 ft. high drape in the middle 10 ft. of their backwall and 3 ft. high drape on the sides)

    Design Regulations:

    There are NO exceptions to any of the NRA Show Exhibit Design Regulations. This is to protect the integrity of the Show and create a fair environment for all exhibitors. Click HERE to view the regulations.

    Island and peninsula booth design regulations were due to Show Management by March 1st. Past March 1st expect delays in approvals.

  4. Exhibitor Payment Informationback to top

    Current exhibitors may view/print the most up-to-date invoices and pay their deposit/balance via credit card by going to "My Account" in Exhibitor Services. You will need your company password found on your confirmation and invoice.  If you can’t find it please contact your sales representative or call (312) 853-2542.

    NOTE: The balance due reflects booth space only and does not include outstanding balances with any other contractors.

    If you are paying by credit card, we accept all major credit cards (American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover Card).

  5. Certificate of Insuranceback to top

    General Commercial Liability Insurance is Required of all exhibitors. We do not collect them pre-Show but they show be available upon request in your booth onsite. 

    Liability and Insurance – All property of the Exhibitor is understood to remain under its custody and control in transit to and from the Show and while it is in the confines of McCormick Place. Neither Show Management, the Official Show contractor, the management of McCormick Place nor any of the officers, staff members or directors of any of the same are responsible for the safety of the property of Exhibitor’s from theft, damage by fire, accident, vandalism or other causes, and the Exhibitor expressly waives and releases any claim or demand it may have against any of them by reason of any damage to or loss of any property of the Exhibitor.

    Show Management does not maintain insurance covering Exhibitor’s property. It is required that Exhibitor maintain general public liability insurance against claims for personal injury, death or property damage incident to, arising out of or in any way connected with the Exhibitor’s participation in the NRA Show, in an amount no less than $250,000 for personal injury, death or property damage in any one occurrence.  Such insurance shall name the NRA and the NRAS as additional insureds on the general liability policy. Each Exhibitor is required to carry workers compensation insurance protecting employees in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois. Exhibitor acknowledges that it is responsible for obtaining, for its protection and entirely at its expense, such property insurance for its exhibit and display materials as the Exhibitor deems appropriate.

  7. Food & Beverage Samplingback to top

    Required Form:

    If you are sampling food or beverage on the Show floor you must complete the Required Food & Beverage Sampling Form

    Who is allowed to sample:

    If you produce food and beverage products you are allowed to sample those in your booth. If you are not the primary producer you will need to order the food & beverage in your booth from Savor. You can find the Savor catering forms in the Official Service Providers page of the Service Kit.

    Cooking Appliances: 

    If cooking or heating appliances will be used, they must be powered electrically or by natural gas. Stoves and heaters for booth usage must be UL listed/approved and also be adequately ventilated. Nothing combustible may be placed near any heat-producing appliance. A UL listed/approved, 2 – A :10 – B : C ABC-type fire extinguisher is required in such exhibits.

    Prohibited Cooking Materials:
    The following items are fire-hazardous and prohibited in McCormick Place:

    • All flammable compressed gases, such as propane and butane
    • Charcoal
    • Fireplace logs and similar materials
  8. Shipping & Move In Dateback to top

    Review the Shipping Information section of the Service Kit for all shipping information. 

    Your Target Check-in Date:

    You must check the Target Check-In Schedule to find out what date/time your materials must arrive at McCormick Place. If you are shipping your materials to McCormick all materials must arrive on this date or you will be charged for extra for arriving off date.  

    If you are hand carrying your info you can arrive on the date of your target Check-in. You cannot arrive before your date.

  15. How many complimentary Show badges do I receive with my booth?back to top

    Each exhibitor receives five (5) complimentary badges for the first 100 square feet of space purchased, and three (3) badges for each additional 100 square feet of space [e.g., up to 200 square feet equals eight (8) badges, up to 300 square feet equals (11) badges, etc.].

    Login to Exhibitor Services, then click "Registration Services" to begin registering your booth personnel.

    Exhibitor Registration will open at the beginning of November. Please check back in then to register for your exhibitor badges.

    Exhibitor Badge Allotment:

    Each exhibitor receives five (5) complimentary badges for the first 100 square feet of space purchased, and three (3) badges for each additional 100 square feet of space [e.g., up to 200 square feet equals eight (8) badges, up to 300 square feet equals (11) badges, etc.].

    Deadlines:

    April 6th: Advanced Rate Discount Deadline for badges purchased over your allotment.

    May 1st: Badge Mailing cutoff date. Register your badges by this date if you want them mailed to you pre-Show. 

    Invite Customers to NRA Show:

    You can purchase customer invitations in the Registration Services of Exhibitor Services. Once you purchase the invitation, all you have to enter is a name and email. We will then send them an email letting them know that you have invited them to NRA Show.

    Once you have registered your booth staff, you can also invite customers using your leftover allotment. We recommend waiting until all booth staff is registered before using this option.
